Today was Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps, Ab Ripper X
It normally would not have been too hard for me but today was especially difficult because my office had our community involvement day and raked wet leaves (42 industrial size garbage bags) at a historic house in Ho ho kus, NJ where George Washington stayed. I was sweating all day long from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. raking and lifting heavy garbage bags. The team told me to skip today's workout but as soon as I got home I committed to another 90 minutes of P90X.
My goal is to be able to do Ab Ripper X correctly and fully by the end of this program. Still by far the toughest exercise routine.
Here is a picture after day 3 exercise:
Food Journal Thursday, May 7, 2009
Breakfast: Unintentionally skipped but had a cup of black coffee no sugar
Snack: Half a bottle of water
Lunch: Whole wheat chicken greek wrap (had lettuce, tomato, cucumber, grilled chicken, feta, and yogurt sauce), side salad with oil and vinegar, 2 glasses unsweetened iced tea, 2 glasses of water
Snack: none
Dinner: EDIT: I am somewhat dissappointed in myself, we met my cousin and his wife for some Korean BBQ at our favorite restaurant in Fort Lee and I was being so good. I had nothing but grilled vegetables, seafood tofu soup, and 2 lettuce wraps with a small piece of beef ribs (kalbi). Didn't touch the rice so I was feeling proud. Then, BAM, the waitress drops off the rib bones to our table (this is my favorite part of the Kalbi) and a lot of people do not understand why I love the cartilage part so much. I end up eating all of it! To top it off, I am sickly full at this point, we end up going to our new favorite yogurt place for dessert. I was hoping to either share with Mel or not have any but I end up getting my own cup with fruit toppings. You pay by weight at this place and let's just say my cup of yogurt cost me $9! Oh well, I kind of earned that dinner based on my very active day but back to starving myself again...

You know...you are suppose to let your body rest and rebuild the muscles you've torn during the workouts. otherwise you might get injured and have to recover for weeks at a time...and it's definitely hard to get back to workouts after that.
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of P90X - different programs through different days of different body parts - although Ab Ripper X is every other day
ReplyDeletehahah. it's ok about the kalbi. I was doing so well yesterday by skipping dinner since I had relatively big lunch.... then BAM, joe comes home from work with wendys and I ended up eating 3 chicken fingers and 5 pieces of fries at 11pm. What great self control we have
